O.K.
Time to "do their feet" again
Oh..can't be bothered with getting the halter..They know what to do by now.for goodness sakes.
I take the pick brush out and walk to the Shetties.
Better do Mari first, cos she's the boss and then the others will see that all is O.K.
What a "good girl" Mari is. No problems at all..I do all her feet and she just stands there, then gets on with grazing..bis kiss.."GOOD Girl"
So little Elsi, the scaredy cat comes up to me. I think, OMG, she's gonna be off, But No. She want's to be like Mari and lets me do all feet with no problems. Then Eli Woo, "Me next  me next"
Cadi just looks and smirks..and I know...
I go up to her and she just moves away..again and again and again.
In the end ,I give up, walk to the house, get the halter, walk back. Cadi behaves perfectly. Get around to finishing the last forefoot..."OUCH!" she bites me, then smiles

What is wrong with my Shetties?
I read on this Forum that your Shetties,
Let you Ride them
Let you Rug them
Let you train them
Let you catch them

Taking the Haylege in yesterday, Ellie Woo and Elsie wouldn't let me open the gate.
As I struggled inside the field laden with haylege, being MOBBED all the way....I clearly heard Mari say to them.
"Oi , you youngsters... leave the servant alone"
Cadi was already pawing at a nice clean bit of field saying.
"Put it here, thank you"

Moley I love your stories!

My ponies try to 'train' me every day! Grin

Shetties have such an intelligence compared to big horses don't they?

Shetties were acting really strange today. Years ago the old Lady who was their original Granny and sold them to me told me... "A fat Shettie is NOT healthy... AND Shetties can get fat on concrete"...
Very good advice and I have stuck to it ever since.
But as the ground is so dry and parched now and I was worried that they weren't getting enough to eat I gave them some haylage.
They ate it and went "beserk".
Running, biting, horseplay, frolicking, kicking... Wow what a show.
Then they all disappeared into the shelter. "WHAT"Huh
" THEN DOWNPOUR"
I GOT SOAKED
